YOUNG NATURALIST AWARD.........

Many times, the great achievements some students make are over shadowed by other students doing not such great things.  The Rogers County Conservation District would like to recognize some Claremore High School students and their teacher, Ms. Radcliff for some great achievements.

Students from Ms. Radcliff’s Pre AP Biology class entered the Young Naturalist writing competition.  The students discovered research topics while on a visit to the Reserve.  Many of the students returned to the Reserve several times on their own to continue gathering data for their papers.   These students were competing with students from all across the United States.  When the judging was completed, we had six (6) students to brag about.  Out of 8 freshman finalists, Sara G. was selected.  Out of 19 freshman semifinalists, Sami G. and Kiernan C. were selected. Out of 8 sophomore finalists, Jillian L. and Jessica L. were selected. Out of 7 sophomore semifinalists, Hayden B. was selected.  When the final results are out we will let you know just how they finished.

These are not the first students that Ms. Radcliff has had achieve this honor.  Ms. Radcliff has repeatedly placed well in this competition.  Her extra effort with her students truly pushes them to excellence.
